About Us
Elevating humans with Impact with Integrity
Ālokana is a Sanskrit word that means looking, seeing, or beholding, turning one's gaze toward something and truly perceiving it.
Our organisation 'Ālokana' was born with the intent of offering the ability to perceive clearly to all our stakeholders which they can then use for their elevation.

Our Story
Between us we spent thirty six+ years inside large organisations as leaders holding P&L. We came from banking and financial services, and from technology delivery. Large Programmes, transitions, teams, numbers, most of it under pressure and all of it to a deadline.
We were coaching the people in those teams the whole time, long before either of us called it that. It was never in the job description. It was the part of the work that lasted longest. The culture and the systems we built produced leaders who could scale, and what they delivered went well past anything we could have achieved alone.
None of that came from a book. In our lived experience, leaders scale when awareness catches up with capability, and when the system around them makes room for it. Both halves matter. One without the other is a good day away from the desk.
That is what we would want you to know before anything else. We are not arriving from outside your problem. We made these calls and carried the numbers.
Both of us eventually left to scale leaders with impact, integrity and respect.
We met in 2017 as part of a continuing professional development programme. We are not alike, and it did not take long to see that our capabilities were complementary. Strategic possibility thinking on one side, grounded practical leadership on the other.
We each went on coaching independently after that, with clients across the globe, and we were both doing perfectly well. Our aspirations grew with that success. We wanted larger impact, learning that stays with leaders, and a like minded community.
At the end of May 2026 we started talking about building something together, with systemic impact and organisational learning. Within a week it was settled. Neither of us needed talking into it, and nothing has been decided alone since. A possibility becomes a plan only after it has passed through both of us.
Ālokana is the work each of us had been doing inside our own organisations for years, done deliberately now, and for organisations other than our own.
The measure of it is not whether people can depend on us. They can. It is whether the leaders we work with can be more and do more for themselves, their teams and their organisations. More after we step back than they could, when we arrived.
That is what we mean by Elevating Humans.
